Hapy battery weirdness

Like many other S3 users, I was disappointed in the battery life, so, acting on advice from fellow forum members, I purchased an extended life battery and was happily enjoying much better results (if a fatter phone).

However, yesterday I thought I should charge up my OEM battery, so I swapped it back in and ran it up to 100%. I spent the rest of the day using my phone for typical tasks (calls, WWF, browsing, about 1/2 hour of music streaming to test out my new Bluetooth speakers).

More than a day later, I still have 58% of battery left.

Before I put in (and then removed) the extended battery, my phone would have lasted about 8 hours doing these simple tasks.

I have no idea what is different (I've only added a few apps since the last time I used the OEM battery; removed nothing; changed no other settings), but suddenly my battery life is greatly improved.

Not griping at all, but wondering if anyone else has experienced improved battery life after having the OEM battery out for some period of time.
