Hard Drive Missing 22 GB?

Ok so I got an external enclosure for my old laptop hard drive and it only says I have 298 GBs. I know that my hard drive is 320 GB from the computer specs online and that extra space is needed for an OS but I'm completely formatting it now so what is taking up 22 GBs and how do I get it back?

People still don't understand how Storage Unit works... You will never get it as they don't use same Binary prefix as they use SI prefix. This is just another gimmick so ya.

Basically it is because manufacturers sell 1gb as 1,000,000,000 bytes when in reality a gigabyte is actually 1,073,741,824 bytes, so a 320gb hard drive is (320x1,000,000,000)/1,073,741,824=298gb

Its all gimmick lol thats how they get ya LOL have to love companies getting away and sticking it to the men. My NSS is 28.1TB thats right Terabyte, how do you think I feel? LOL this is the SL of system I am on now.
