hard to text

Reading through the forums here I can see that many forum posters are posting from their phones,(judging from all the spelling and grammar errors...)which leads me to my question... and I'm glad it's not just me having an issue with mistakes typing on my android phone. I was spending so much time correcting the errors made on my htc desire 510, (more time than it took to compose the messages) that I decided it would be easier, and less stressful for me to just keep 2 phones active, one: the HTC to use a select few apps that I currently cant use on my other phone. and, the second: my 6 year old iphone 3GS, that I use to text with and post to facebook, (or anything that requires accurate texting/typing...(since I make NO mistakes with my iphone. I've been using this 2-phone system for over a year now, and it has been working, but carrying 2 phones around is not convenient. I imagine at some point to solve this dilemma I'll need to purchase a newer iphone that supports ios 8 and therefore the apps I can't use on my 3gs, but that work great on my android htc. So why not just use the HTC? Because I just can't type on the darn thing without making a mind-numbing amount of errors that I feel compelled to correct before I send the text or post the message.
And I don't think it's just me having a typing issue physically because I can fly along with my old iphone with no problems.
I'm beginning to believe that it is a hardware difference such that iphones are just made better than most android phones.
Surely I can't be the only one here using both an android and an iphone? If you are out there reading this, can you back me up on this? If so, can you answer this question? Why is it so easy to type quickly and without errors on an iphone, and almost impossible to do so on an android phone?

Thanks wiseguy. So there's my answer. Throw the HTC in the garbage, forget Android and just use iphone, right?? I'm going to head over to the iphone forum now. Thanks for the "help".
