Hardware mod greatly improves the performance and thermal throttling of the Nexus 6P - Reviews

It's no secret that the Snapdragon 810 runs hot. It's been documented for over a year and this week a brave enthusiast did something about it.

They used tools to disassemble and open the Nexus 6P up so they could put some thermal paste near the SoC to help dissipate the heat from the chip. The result is hardly any thermal throttling at all, even with multiple benchmarks being run back to back.
