Saw some outdated posts on various website and nobody seems to have found a fix. Any out there figure out how to only get the dot-pattern and not the dot-pattern in addition to the slide to unlock. Its really annoying I'm sure alot of people feel that way too. It'd be nice if Sony release a bug fix for it or something.

They all do the same, its not a SE bug to fix.

I did try no lock but like you mentioned it removes both of the locks instead of just that one. I have used other Android devices and from the ones that I have used the dot pattern can be set as the only lock on the phone. I know this is true on the U.S Galaxy S phones and some of the earlier U.S T-Mobile Devices like the G1 and the MyTouch phones.
