Has anyone here ever used a smartphone on T-Mobile Prepaid?

I'm planning to get a Vibrant off of Craigslist or eBay and using it for the $50 prepaid plan that T-Mobile offers, $50 for unlimited talk/text and 100 MB of data. I'm pretty sure it'll work since I'm not buying it with a contract, but just to make sure has anyone here ever done this? And how much of web browsing do you think the Vibrant will take up (no YouTube or any videos), just general browsing. Thanks!

I am using EM+ with talk text and web. I've been assured that since I am buying my own phone, this should be enough. If you can get your phone to use your wifi, data should be free. Some of the new Androids are supposed to be including UMA. That's TM wifi service and does use minutes.
Try the TM forum: T-Mobile Community - T-Mobile Community
Just disregard some of the SA and whiners.
I use unlocked phones and buy my own.

Let me encourage you to use the T-Mobile forum here at Android Forums, cpcollector. ;)

I've moved your question there already, so that T-Mobile users will see it and respond.

I've been using T-Mobile's pay-as-you-go prepaid plan with my Nexus One since I bought the phone. Calling and texting have always worked well but now that T-Mo offers data to prepaid subscribers, my phone is able to take advantage of their 3G service just like a regular postpaid account. The only problem I've come across is that prepaid data services have web guard (mature content filters) enabled by default. This hasn't really been an issue for me until I tried to check out the lottery numbers and found out that the California State Lottery's official web page was restricted. It is possible to turn off the web guard feature by going to your T-Mobile account page and submitting some personal information for age verification purposes. The information you have to provide is the same info you would provide if you had a contract, so unless you're using your prepaid phone for nefarious purposes and you need to stay anonymous, it shouldn't be a problem to shut off the web guard feature.
