Has anyone used the Moto SKIP so far with Moto X

Yes I got the free skip with my Motomaker Moto X and I used it for the first week or so. I have little to no need for a locked phone so I have since stopped using it. I was only using it for the novelty. I will probably only lock my phone when I travel and use it then.

What sort of feedback are you looking for?

It works very well, it unlocks the phone quickly and smoothly however you do have to be pretty spot on with hitting the right place on the phone on the skip.

I use a tpu case (thin rubber) and it did not effect the ability to use it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the comments. This is what I was looking for..

When I configured my Moto X to access my Exchange Server mailbox, the accompanying administrator policies disabled Moto Skip. I also lost the ability to shake the phone to access the camera. I believe it also disabled Active Display notifications.

I have since removed the configuration to access my Exchange Server mailbox; the administrator policies are too draconian.

When I configured mine I lost trusted Bluetooth, camera shake from the lock screen and not sure about Moto Skip as I don't have one. I didn't lose active notifications though.

Try installing Touchdown from NitroDesk. Gives you full Exchange access and doesn't enforce the policies on your phone.

I don't use my phone with an Exchange server, but yes, I use it. I don't really use the wearable one, but the dots are very useful - I have one attached under my mousepad on my desk (i have a huge mousepad) and I just put the phone on that area when working and I can use Touchless Controls as much as I want. I also have some trusted bluetooth devices, but I will probably just end up setting it up to disable the lock screen based on location (like when I'm at home).

My knowledge of NFC tags is limited to the fact that they exist. Can MotoSkip functionality be replicated with generic NFC tags, or is there something special about MotoSkip that makes it work the premium price (compared to generic NFC tags)?
