Help Has Lollipop in general, removed "editing the carrier's number?"

Okay, I figured it out, but not the way we used to do it.

I am using exDialer * ExDialer - Dialer & Contacts - One I use

and what I did was to delete the Speed Dial entry for the digit '1',
then I rewrote it with *86, 1234

*86 is the Verizon voice mailbox number.

the comma ',' is a pause

the '1234' is the password I have assigned (demo here :D )

Now, exDialer is just using my new SpeedDial entry and all is well again in my home.

Work arounds are necessary if you can't do what you want to in the first place.
