Has President Obama set any laws it to make it illegal to promote hate speech?

Who doesn't? Just wanting to know if anything since the Patriot Act can be altered/promoted?
the Constitution is only as valuable as the paper it's written on if people choose to ignore it.

Not only is this unconstitutional, but it is also technically not the presidents job.
neither is education, that's the state's job, but NCLB and now Race to the Top sorta prove that doesn't matter.
I would say that education is a parent's job, but sadly, there don't seem to be many people that actually "parent" nowadays.
And, it's not Obama's (or any president's) job to protect people from words.
touche' I agree, but rather, I should say, education is to be dealt with at the state level, not the federal. but we are digressing a little.
I deplore those that spew hate, promote violence etc.,but our people have the 1st amendment & natural right to speak their mind and so do I.beyond that we don't need more laws,we need more common sense,better parenting education & the like.
I think if a person is inciting violence and can be proven then there are already laws in which can be enforced.As an adult I've come to the realization it's just tough to fix stupid like the people who spew hate & violence.
