We are very interested in the WIFI hot spot on the phone, we have a son who uses a Kindel Fire and this would be great when we travel, as it's only WIFI, has anyone used the phone with a Kindel Fire device?

Which EVO 4G are you upgrading to? There is the original EVO 4G (Sprint), EVO V 4g (Virgin Mobile), and EVO 4G LTE (Sprint)

The hotspot should be able to tether the Kindle Fire.
