Hello all,
I am not sure if anyone can help but I thought it was probably worth a try? I have just bought a geniatech ATX 2000 smart TV set box. It shipped with Android 2.2.5. Anyway, got the thing home and set it up. Everything was working fine. Then I came onto these forums and looked for advice to update the firmware. Copied the relevant files onto a SD card and put into SD card reader (unzipped). It began to read card okay. I then had a rush of blood and was not concentrating properly. I ended up taking the card out of the slot before the update was finished. Realised what I had done and then inserted it again. Now whenever I turn the machine on it says something like
"cannot mount sdcard\update.img"
"cannot mount vdisk\update.img"
"Update failed"
I have tried to reset the machine by unplugging machine and pressing button on the back. I have also tried a factory reset by clciking on one of the options on the boot screen. I have had no luck. It is my own fault really.
I suppose what I really need to know is is there a way of getting the default settings back? At the moment it will not even boot up. I turn it on and it goes straight to the updating failed page. Or have I fried my machine and wasted
