Have to restart phone to use 4g lte.

This is only my second smartphone and my first didn't have this problem... Whenever I use my phone for awhile it will lose 4g lte and stay on 3g or even less, no matter my location. When I restart my phone it will go back to 4g lte and stay there for atleast a day. How do I fix this?
