Having some issues answering calls on MyTouch 3G

When I get a call, so far it's my mother who has tried to call me up and each time she calls..When I go to answer my phone it says "Call from mom..Press 1 to answer" or something like that.

Why the hell does it ask me to press a number before I take the call? I am on T-Moble, on a Flexpay account if that matters running Firmware version 1.6

Is she calling your Google Voice number?

No she has my cell phone number she is dialing.
