HD Voice

I'll have to look again but I believe on the call screen - when in the call there is a green bar that says HD voice at the top right of the screen. Also HD voice is only when you happen to call someone that has another VOLTE enabled phone on a VOLTE carrier. Voice Over LTE.
SO other Verizon carriers if you are on VZ, or other ATT carriers if you are ON ATT. So far I don't believe the various carriers allow for the HD voice to kick on for crossing carrier boundaries. I'll have to look again though.

I'm on Verizon and was just talking to my sister, also on Verizon. On the call screen it says HD, but she does not show as having it contacts. Neither of us has an LG but I think it's not phone specific anyway.
Thanks for your replies. My V20 is a BYOP on AT&T Tracfone. Even though my HD voice button isn't disabled and can turn it on, it does nothing.
My SIL who is on Straight Talk, Vzw (Tracfone) has HD voice on a LG Rebel 2 and it works. When it's on the letters "HD" is displayed in her contacts list.
I have talked to her without it and with it on and it sounds great with it on. She didn't hear my HD since I don't have it. So I do think cross network interoperability is working. At least in my neck of the woods.
