Accessories HDMI and usb 3 otg, possible?

Hi,
Has anyone managed to successfully find a solution to give an hdmi out display from the note pro 12.2, at the same time as a usb port via otg cable.

What I essentially want to do is to have the note pro at my desk connected via hdmi to a monitor, and still be able to use usb devices such as pen drives etc. Is there any kind of cable combination that will allow for this?
Thanks
Duncan

You'll need to check and see if a Samsung dock of some sort will allow that.

Normal MHL toggles off usb altogether, but the Samsung you have has additional pins to accommodate more functions when used with one of their docks.

I can't recommend one, hopefully someone else can.

That really has nothing to do with the question ok.

It has EVERYTHING to do with the question asked. It may be a workaround rather than the expected answer, but it IS a solution to the question asked, which was (and I quote):

"What I essentially want to do is to have the note pro at my desk connected via hdmi to a monitor, and still be able to use usb devices such as pen drives"

The Rav4 allows you to (amongst many other things) read a hard drive (or "pen drive") connected to the Rav4 USB port while having the Note Pro connected via hdmi to a monitor. It just allows you to do it via a wifi solution, not a wired solution.

I actually asked an almost similar question to the initial one here, except that I wanted to connect my Note Pro to a DAC via an OTG cable, but still be able to read data from a hard drive, and I hoped someone would tell me a powered hub would do this. Which it may or may not (still haven't found that out, and would like to, if anybody knows.)

But in answer to my and another poster's question, came the pointer to the Rav4, and I saw this as a solution, although not the one I was expecting.

And if no-one can tell me whether or not an OTG cable will work through a powered hub, while also allowing the reading of a hard drive connected to the same powered hub, then this may be the only solution to my problem of how to use the Note Pro's USB port for two completely different tasks simultaneously

I apologize, you're absolutely right.

I've been using a smart pen lately, never refer to the devices being asked about as pen drives and I got my wires crossed.

My bad, great tip!
