hdmi out on Nexus 10

When I connect an HDMI cable through an adapter to the mini HDMI port on the NEXUS 10 I get perfect video but no sound. I have tried two adapters and several cables. Anyone have any experience with this?

I haven't on the Nexus 10, but I've seen it on other devices. It might be a TV setting- do you have a buddy that you can test your device with? On their TV? Or someone with another HDMI out device to test with your TV?
