HDR Camera script (devs?)

FYI N900 is getting some software development in the HDR (High Dynamic Range) area.

Essentially there's a script that takes 3+ pictures at different contrast levels and combines them.


By that, couldn't an android dev make something like this?

Any devs floating around here that are up to the challenge? With the mediocre (at best) camera quality of a lot of android based phones, I am surprised something like this isn't already available.
