Headphone help (again "/)

Hey guys, sadly my old headphones (V-Moda Vibes) broke and I need to get another pair. I think the problem was the durability so I need headphones that will last. I also don't want to use in-ear ones anymore because they kept falling off whenever I did anything more than walking.

I liked the Vibes because of their deep bass and noise cancellation, so the new headphones must also have these but I would favor a noise cancellation headphone that I can use even if the batteries ran out.

I know you said you don't want in-ear headphones but I'll still suggest the ones I have.

I have previous-generation buds from Zagg (ZAGG | invisibleSHIELD | iPhone, iPod Cases, Screen Protectors, Covers, Shields, Skins I think mine are the SmartBuds) and I am very happy with them. They stay in well (though I've limited to just walking at this point), have multiple tips to get the right fit, the cord is more than long enough to put my phone in my pants pocket and still reach, they sound pretty good (better than stock iPod/iPhone buds) and they're actually very comfortable.

Wish I could help ya, I wear headphones almost all night long (3rd shifter) but I'm hearing impaired so I don't need the super nice quality type headphones you're looking for. I've had good luck with Skull Candy, but my daughter hates them. Granted the most I've spent on them is about $30. they are loud as heck. Which is what I need, hahaha...

I am rough on my headphones though. I end up breaking/damaging them somehow at work... So I go through about 3 to 5 pairs (hahaha) a year. Mine usually get snagged on something and make a loose connection at the earpiece.

A thought on more bass, what are you playing the headphones through? Phone, MP3 player?... cuz some of the players have an Equalizer built in. That may help.

How's the bass?

TBH, it's hard to say. Most of my time with them is listening to Pandora on my Droid, streaming over 3G when I'm walking. The sound is pretty good considering.
