headphones dont work

Hello i have a Android phone and i was wondering why i can't use headphones while i talk on my phone i have plugged them in and answered the phone before and it didn't work

More than likely, they are made for iPhone equipment, so the mic and ground are swapped. The only way to have a headphone with mic work for an Android phone is to buy a set that specifically says "Android".
