Headphones

Hi i am new here & new to my G2 phone, so i apologize if this has been posted before or in the wrong section..

I use my headphones on my laptop to listen to music & i was wondering if i can also use them to talk to my friends ?, I have a built in mic on my laptop,

Most likely not, that said my Motorola S805 Bluetooth D.J Style Stereo Headset works great
