Root Heat issue on OSF

My OSF is rooted to sweedish spring rsl4 or whatever. And after a while when charging or playing games such as angry birds or something, the top of the phone, the area where teh sim/sdcard/camera area is, gets rather hot.

should i be worried, and anything i can do?

edit:

also another issue is that whenever i have my osf on, i have all these uneeded apps running when i run advanced task killer. Like gallery, or gmail, or market, or relax and sleep. When i kill them they keep coming back.

You don't need a task killer with later versions of Android so you can uninstall ATK. Android does a good job of managing itself when it sees the running apps aren't needed/being used. I used to have a task killer, uninstalled it and I noticed no difference whatsoever with battery life. That was on both my DHD and the gf's OSF.

It does get slightly hot. I don't know how accurate they are, but apps I've found that measure temprature state that at its hottest, it's around 39-41 degrees centigrade. Normal use, I've found it can be anywhere between 25 & 32 which is fine.

It's not super unhealthy for it to be that hot, but I don't recommend extended usage when you can clearly feel it getting hot through the back of the phone.

Also it sometimes laggs a bit randomly. I think its because off the app. i dunno like when i would read some comics using the comics app it would freeze a bit.

Also do you know how to use that no frill cpu thing. I dont know what the limit for overclocking is... is 700 mhz too high?

Also, i have sleeping problems, so i like to use this app that has sounds that help you sleep. It kinda worked yesterday. But i was just wondering, is it safe to leave your OSF in the charger while its running that app. It has a timer at which i set to 30 minutes, after that it turns the app off and goes into standby.

Is it safe to leave it on standby in the charging dock for so long, will it explode the lithium batteries? I always turn my phone off before bed but just yesterday i kept it on. Im just wondering if its safe.

But yeah, i use launcher pro in the market. Its not always laggy but sometimes it can be laggy, for example as soon as i start it up i have to wait for it too all load and it takes about 2 minutes and then its fine.

thanks.

My only experience of that no frills cpu is that it crashed the phone when I tried to change any of the settings so I basically uninstalled straight away. A meagre

where can i get some valerian root? Can i grow it in the uk? do i eat it or something, the actual roots?

whats the chance of my OSF bursting into flames.

I dont have an mp3 player or anything. Just my OSF :/ BTW the app is basically playing sounds and it goes off after 30 minutes. anyways yeah.

I thought launcher pro makes it faster and better... I only got launcher pro because it makes it apparantly smoother :/

Holland & Barrett is where I get mine.

The OSF has it's own MP3 player on it (just called Music iirc), you should be able to find some relaxing MP3's to use on the internet somwhere.

It might make it smoother, but I thought the launcher apps were just supposed to add a new level of customisation?

Well, unless you go overboard and take it to a whole new level, I'd say the chances of your phone bursting into flames is pretty minute. According to the article, about 2-3 per million Lithium Ion batteries are reported as being faulty so you should be ok.

Every phone is different with regards to its processor
My phone can go to 729MHz, but after a while of heavy use it'll reboot, so I keep it at 710MHz

There is no chance really of it going up in flames, if its gets too hot it'll turn off
