Heavy Battery Drain

Hello everyone. I have the LG G3 model D850 running Android 5.0. Recently I've noticed an issue with the phone's battery; it drains really fast. The phone was bought in August 2016 so it's pretty unusual for a techinacally new phone to have a bad battery. Anyway, I replaced it but the issue still existed with the addition of the battery charging really slowly. I figured the shop sent me a defective product so I told them to send me another one but it still had the same problem. I even ended up formatting my phone but the issue wasn't gone. Can anyone help me? What can I do to fix it? Any type of help would be appreciated.

What apps do you use, delete apps you don't use often. If you use mobile data, it can use up a lot of battery. How long does the battery last. Try lowering the brightness on the phone and see if that helps you. If none of normal steps for making your battery last longer work, try returning it to the shop. Also try installing upgrades for your phone like Android 6.0, because it has a feature called Doze that helps save battery. How much do you use your phone?

These steps don't work for me. The phone won't even last 3 hours of normal use without having to charge it. I don't use mobile data that often and I always keep my brightness at 28%. How much lower can it get? I took it to the store but they said that it may be an app that's causing the drain but I haven't downloaded anything that may cause it. I do have apps like Facebook, Messenger and Viber which may drain the battery but I always force stop them when I don't use them. Nothing seems to help though...

And I can't update my phone to Android 6 because for some reason there is no OTA update and I can't find a website that has the necessary files to update manually.

Hello. Did you get a solution to this [I know it was a long time ago]. I have same circumstances. LG G3 Android 5.0. It started to discharge very fast. I had made no changes. I have tried all the usual suggestions around checking setting/background processes etc. A new battery makes no difference. I next tried an LG standard Software update. No difference. Did you get any more suggestions that worked? Cheers, Jon.
