Helium and the X

Clementine_3

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Well, it looks like I will have to do a factory reset after the 4.4.4 upgrade.

I'm going to give Helium a whirl (and manually backup as well) and was wondering if anyone has tried it on the X? If so, did it work and what did it not backup or restore properly?

Just trying to avoid the inevitable headache of doing a factory reset.

AFAIK, Helium does not work with Motorola devices (as per Koush).
However, I believe MyBackUp Pro works with your Moto X without root (more capabilities with it).

Right. I did read a lot of reviews that it does work though. I'm actually doing a b/u to Drive right now, so far so good...I think.

I'll see how it goes and update later. *fingers crossed

I think that Helium doesn't work with older Moto devices - the Droid Razr HD, Razr Maxx HD, Razr M, and older Droids. I think that the X and the 2013 Droids do work with it (though I never tried it myself.)

Anyway, I'd be interested to know if it works when you try it.

It does work. I backed everything that was backup-able up to Drive and it saved a ton of time. At least that part went well.

Still have a wakelock issue with the f'ng dialer after 2 factory resets. That rant is in my other thread.
