Hello Aim! Beta Version

Wendee

Lurker
So we finally got nice Aim Apps...Realy cool so far, and wat everyone wanted to set Customs Away Messages.. and add your own pics...

So far I think this Apps is really nice..not buggy nor laggy for me yet... Am really happy now and will keep my G1 lol

Lets see whats next on the market

still doesnt seem to hold a connection very well... but the best effort so far!

i believe its more the way programs work on android.. someone needs to outsmart the android system.

its like how android programs dont really run in the background, the phone just saves the state of the program before it shut down, then actually shuts it down. so.. i dunno...

can someone make a video review on this apps.
This would be gladly appreciated and would allow people to view how the application works and its functionality.

Great App...
Its like having a sidekick all over again !,,
Let me hold off on that last statement, - I want to see how stable can this app hold a connection, as well as regain that connection when there are network issues.

i love this app an ijust downloaded 5 mins ago.

just one question i dont seem to figure how can i switch betwen convs?

like for example if am talkin to 5 people how do i switch to them ?

there are still a few problems with this aim.
1. connection. i've only used this on edge and while it does sometimes stay on for a while, it may lose connection every 5 - 10 minutes.
WIFI on the other hand is smooth, and i'm not sure about 3G.
2. switching between convos. I miss the sidekick left or right bump to switch convos. perhaps multiple facets will develop a left right scroll option that switches between active IMs instead of the next alphabetical user online or not

other than these two problems i haven't realy notcied anything else. this user interface kicks the sidekicks ass and this application is definitely worth a shot. i hope google will work with multiple facets into making this aim the default aim and getting rid of that shitty aim, but we already know that's nto gonna happen. anyways. Give this app a try, you won't be sorry.

So this phone uses data right? I just want to double check before I start using it. I only have 400 text messages and I don't want to go over that with this app.

Can someone confirm? I just want to make sure :)

I don't have any cellular service on my G1 and it works fine for me, so I would assume it uses data, not sms or anything else.
