Hi all! The wife and I recently dumped our AT&T iPhone plan that was costing us $135/mo, sold the iPhones for a total of $620, and switched to cheap GoPhones costing us a total of $50/mo. Woohoo!
It was always my intention to get an older iPhone and use it as a GoPhone. However, we quickly realized that we missed the 4S's HD video and amazing still camera... Also, I track our finances easier on a smartphone, and was getting tired of writing everything down and plugging it into a spreadsheet once we got home.
I was looking at Android phones in the $100-180 price mark. I knew I could get a more feature-rich Android device for my money than I would if I got an iPhone in that range.
I decided on the HTC Desire, because it had 720p, a decent 8 MP camera, and was in the range of around $170.
Fastforward a couple of days, and I found an ATRIX 2 on CL for $175. That night, I drove 50 miles to pick it up.
Needless to say, I am giddy as a schoolgirl!
