Hi! I'm from the US and have the absolute worst luck with phones! Every time I go into Verizon with a problem, no one has ever seen it before (I wish I could have that kind of luck with a lottery ticket.) So, basically, every phone I get is because Verizon has no choice but to replace it--eventually with a new one (trust me, I've had my share of refurbished and even Verizon couldn't fix those!)--and they basically tell me what I have to choose.
I'm not a complete idiot, but I am somewhat technologically-challenged. I have to admit that most of it is because these damn companies are too cheap to print out USEFUL owner manuals. Yes, I've downloaded them to my laptop (for fear of using too much data on my phone (more on that later in questions), but I can't exactly drag a laptop with me to figure out how to use my phone on-the-go.
So, I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S4 but not exactly by choice. I don't really have a problem with the phone itself except...
Since I am somewhat technologically-challenged, I always figure any problem is me. I wait, see if I can fix whatever it is, and then when the problem continues to happen, I eventually find out that the problem has become "unfixable," regardless of what it is or what phone it is! I am a very patient person and have just come to realize that I probably should have complained about many phones much earlier instead of living with the inconvenience and aggravation.
I know Verizon offers classes on the phones and I really need to get to one of them. But, I don't think this phone is a month old and this is the second time outgoing texts have failed to send.
So, I have a new "replacement" phone, yet I have had the outgoing text issue twice--as well as the black screen, hot phone, and fast battery drain issues once each--so far.
That's why I've finally decided to join and make an account: You have been helpful before with each of the above issues AND I never know when to give up and go back to Verizon or "deal with it" because technology isn't perfect.
Therefore, I will read the FAQs, scroll the posts, find my answers and definitely take the advice of you guys here.
I thank you in advance, as I know you're not just interested in making a monthly quota or commission.
Thanks,
Laura
