Hello Droids,
My name is Rick and I live in Texas and retired( I'm an old man). Not only am I new to the forum, I'm new to smartphones. Although smartphone have been around for awhile, I have been using the same old free basic flip phone since I started using a cell phone.
The flip phone did what I needed it to do, calls and texting, but now I am starting to lose my eye sight and need a bigger screen. My new S5 has opening a whole new world for me.
Being new to smartphones, I have a lot to learn. I'm looking forward to learning from you all.
I chose the GS5 for a couple of reasons. First, I have been a longtime Samsung consumer. Most of my electronics are Samsung and I have been very pleased with their products. Secondly, Being my first smartphone, I really never used another smartphone to compare too. My daughter has an iphone and she loves it, but the s5 has a bigger screen and it just appealed to me more then the iphone. I started the buy the note 3, but for me, it is just a little to big, the s5 is perfect size for me to carry around in a case/ holster . So for I'm happy with the S5.
