Hello from the new guy

Hey everyone, just purchased my first Android phone - a Motorola Milestone (XT720). Got it off Craigslist (cuz Im cheap). Its a great phone, and Im already learning a lot. I joined the Forums because Im eventually going to want to get into the guts of this thing, and overclock it, maybe some other stuff...for now, Im just trying to cut my teeth on this thing.

Anyway, just wanted to say hey, introduce myself, and get started here. I guess I have one question: Ive read a lot of the FAQ threads and such, is there a good resource besides the introductions section that can help a desperately green newb get some basic knowledge?

Hey thanks for the welcome. It looks like my XT720 is pretty similar, but has several differences. Mine is a US based handset, set up for GSM. It has no slide out qwerty. It does have an 8mp camera, and some proprietary apps for my carrier.

all the details can be found HERE at GSM arena (a site which I have found very useful for comparing options)

And I will definitely D/L the Phandroid app. Thanks for the heads up!
