Hello, Office Docs on my HTC One X (help)

Hi folks,

I am only mildly user savvy. I don't mean to be anti-social here... I'm a member on lots of automotive and motorcycle forums, but what brought me here is I think I did something stupid and now I'm looking for someone smart enough to help me bail myself out.

I found I need to access some Office docs (Word, etc. maybe it's also affecting my Outlook calendar sync with Google calendar, too). After reading the phone instruction manual that I finally found online (didn't come with the phone, not even referenced with the phone materials) I found that I need to open a pre-installed app called Polaris. I think I deleted Polaris from the phone when I was having trouble with it, thinking it was not an app I used. I cannot find it on the phone. I tried installing it from the Play store, but the version offered is "Polaris Office for GOOD" which is for commercial accounts only, and after contacting the company, found this is useless and they cannot help me with the pre-installed version.

I wonder if anyone knows how I can restore the pre-installed version of Polaris Office,
OR,
Is there another good app I can use to access Office docs... will it help me access Word docs that have a password protecting them?

I so much appreciate advice.

Glad to find any help from users who know what they are talking about, and help me out of my own stupidity.

Thanks!
