Hello World!

Hello there fellow android users!

My name is Danny and I'm a mechanical engineer for the US Navy. I recently bought the Droid Razr. It is my first android phone, and actually my first smart phone altogether! I love it so far but it looks like I may have to exchange it up for the Galaxy Nexus that (hopefully) comes out in a few days. As far as the android OS I am still getting used to it. It's far more complicated than I thought it would be, especially compared to my LG Dare. I haven't had much time to browse around the forum but it looks like there is a lot of good stuff here. Thanks all!

Thanks, still got a lot of learning to do. Don't even know how to put/play music (.mp3s), how to make/put ringtones, etc. Is there a general or basic how-to on how to do these simple tasks ?

Hello,

These features will become so easy to do once you play around with the device. There's usually a "how to do" tutorial sticky on top the device thread. As to what guide member D-U-R-X has suggested - you'll find lots of hints and tips for your device over at the Razr sub-forum.

Enjoy your time here. ;)

To put music/mp3's on, you should have had some software that came with the phone. I know that some people don't like the software that comes with their phones (the HTC Sync software that came with my Desire HD is not great) - here is another possible option. This is the phone version of the software... you'd also need to download the computer version to allow the phone/computer to "talk" to each other.

Here is a good (free) app for creating ringtones from MP3's - I've used this a couple of times before and it's pretty straight forward!

Hope this helps for now!
