Good evening/morning/afternoon, depending on where you are from!

I'm new to these forums, and was the first place I found on Google, hopefully for help...

My current situation as it stands:
- Currently a university student
- Want to program an Android app for my dissertation
- Having trouble thinking for an idea for an app
- Ideas I think of are only good enough as an assignment, and not strong enough for a dissertation
- Can't be too complex beyond understanding

What I would like to know is, where do people get inspiration for making an app?

Can anyone suggest anything as app ideas?

Need is the mother of invention. If you have an Android, pay attention to areas where it is lacking, where you can fill a void, even a small one. Talk to friends and family with Androids, asking them what ways it could be improved upon, or things they wish it would do.

I wont give you ideas but i will tell you how you can get ideas of what to do,

Look at the apps on your phone that you thing is missing something or doesn't work as you want them to do, Or if you can figure out some app that noone created yet (This is hard but if you suceed its very good)
