Sorry to hear you are having problems. If you haven't downloaded anything around the same time you lost your ability to receive a text. You will likely need to reset your phone. Just power it off.. pull the battery.. wait a few.. install the battery and power back up. This sometimes clears a problem such as your text message failure.
