I've been an Android user since the very beginning, with my T-Mobile G1. I owned that phone (and still do) and upgraded to it's older sibling the G2 when it first came out (still have it too). After a few years my G2 got boring after it wouldn't update anymore to the latest version of Android (ICS at the time), so that's when I learned to root and load custom ROMs. It still sports the custom ICS ROM I installed on it to this day. I'm trying to get a newer phone (Nexus 5, Galaxy S4, or LG G2, still kinda upset I can't get another slider with a full physical QWERTY keyboard like my G1 and G2 had, but oh well) but in the meantime I had to settle with just something, so I got the LG Optimus Elite with Virgin Mobile. It was cheap at the time and did what I wanted, but after being spoiled with ICS going back to Gingerbread was no easy matter. So, I've decided it's time to root it and custom ROM it as best I can. I'm still in the infant stages of learning how to develop myself, so it's going to be a LONG time until I can contribute anything myself, so until then I thank the devs for doing what they do so well.
