Apps Helloandroid tutorial

I've been following the tutorial on this site:
Hello, World | Android Developers

after upgrading the UI to an XML layout and re-running the code, my AVD just stays on the homescreen instead of loading the helloandroid application

anyone have any ideas?

Currently using Eclipse 3.6 and there are no errors displayed in the console.

Can u post what did you upgrade to the UI (into XML)?
List all the changes you did from what is given in the stock example

Figured it out - just had to unlock the home screen and the app was running under that

Sagummadi - All the code I used were given in the tutorial and i did not edit anything

Does anyone know why the app didn't load automatically and instead just stayed stuck in the home screen?
