I just got a samsung acclaim, it did not have the 2.2 update. I had a couple photos of my cat in the gallery, after I did the update the weirdest thing happened... when you go into the gallery it shows like i have porn photos (IDK WHERE THEY CAME FROM?) but when you click on them it's the photos of my cats... the same two photos keep showing up no matter if i delete all the photos and take new ones... i can have 10 photos that all show up right but at least two of them are always those two disgusting photos. I tried battery pulls, deleting the one program i downloaded... i dont know how it happened or how to fix it... anyone ever heard of this, or no how to fix it??


I don't want to bring it to the cell phone place cause its kind of embarrasing

That's a pretty strange thing to have happen. If it's a pre-owned device, I'm thinking that those "surprise" pics may already have been there prior to the update, but in a hidden folder that the update gave access to by default.

You can remove all Gallery contents (after saving the pics you want to keep by long pressing them) by going in to menu > settings > applications > manage applications > menu > sort by "all."

Then, after the app list has fully loaded, scroll to Gallery and click "clear cache" and "clear data," if available, and "clear defaults," if available (sometimes those buttons are greyed out).

Then reboot your device. All pics will be gone.

I'm sure that you've figured this out already, but take a few pictures more.

I had the same problem when my phone was upgraded to 2.2. I took it in to US Cellular, and they thought it was the strangest thing they'd ever seen. I could delete a photo, take a new one, and it appeared to be the one I had just deleted when looking at the thumbnail in the gallery. However, if I clicked on it, I would see the picture I had just taken. After I got through a few of them, the gallery thumbnail matched what I was taking pictures of.

Example:
Deleted a picture of my dog.
Took a picture of myself.
Gallery would show a thumbnail of the deleted dog picture.
Clicked on "dog" thumbnail.
Picture of myself displayed.

I'm sorry your cat pictures look like a dirty picture in your gallery! I have not found a fix to date.
