Help HELP! Can't access APN on my Galaxy S7 Edge

A few days ago, my girlfriend renewed her contract with Globe Telecom in the Philippines and she got this Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge as her retention. She gave it to me because she was not a fan. Anyway, the phone was simlocked to that network but since we are based in Singapore, we had no choice but to have it unlocked. Now that i have put in both my Singapore sims, I realised that i have totally no mobile data. I can text and call fine but i can't browse the web. Upon further research, I found out that it might be the APN; but when i did try to access it, it was all greyed out.

Is there a way to fix this? I rooted the phone hoping that would fix it. Will flashing a stock ROM work? I seriously don't want this phone to go to waste. Thanks in advance to anyone who would help me. Also, everytime I boot the phone, a little animation from Globe Telecom plays before reaching the home screen. Not really a big thing, but it would be great if you helped get rid of it.

Globe phones are usually locked that they can only use data with a Globe SIM on SIM1. It's not just allowing usage of another SIM. I do not know if Flashing a ROM can potentially work, provided that you find a compatible ROM.

Thank for the reply! There are quite a few ROMs available for the S7 Edge, notably 'Renovate'. I have rooted the phone only in the hopes of fixing the problem, but as much as possible I'd like to avoid installing a new ROM unless it really does give me access to my mobile data.

Doesn't matter if there are ROMs available for the S7 Edge. What matters is if it is compatible with the Philippine S7 Edge. Not all of these are cross compatible. Remember that the Philippine S7 is a dual SIM version. You might lose microSD capability since there may be differences in the hardware for that second SIM, or it could possibly lead to signal issues due to difference in antenna hardware.

Chinese S7's are also dual SIM but they use a SnapDragon processor. The Philippine version uses Exynos. That means it's incompatible too.

You can always try to look for one that's compatible. Other people would have already tested the ROMs on dual sim versions. You just need to read up on ROM compatibility so that you don't brick your phone putting in a wrong ROM version.
