Help! Can't change the LED notification light.

I have the android phone and have tried LED tester, blink, missed call and I think spare parts but nothing will change the LED color. Please help this is getting frustrating.:confused:
 
You cannot change any part of the led notification light without rooting your phone, at least on the Nexus1 (with 2.1)

Can someone confirm the same for the Droid?
 
I have a Droid, and thanks to Handcent my LED flashes pink for texts. Thanks to Gmail notifier I have one email account that flashes blue and another that flashes yellow. Both apps are free in the market and my phone is not rooted.

I've tried all kinds of different SMS and LED apps but nothing will change the color. They will change the vibrate fine but nothing with the LED. Ive played with the settings within the app but nada, still green. I did update my phone maybe that has something to do with it?

Are you making sure to disable the default notifications?

For example, you need to disable the stock sms notification so the green led won't flash anymore.

Does anyone know if you can change the notification color on the Magic? I looked at the settings but nothing, is there and app to change the color?

Yes it can be. Use the app Missed Call. Make sure disable the stock notifications though.

That's the link. If you have Barcode Scanner just scan it and it'll take you to the app in the market.

To change the sms notification go into your sms settings and disable notifications. You do the same thing for you email and Gmail as well.

Open your sms app. Click the menu button on your phone. Go to settings. Scroll down to notifications and uncheck the box where it says notifications. That should do it.
