Help HELP! Can't get out of Fastboot mode

Hello All,

I have a HTC Desite HD that has been lying unused for a few months. I decided to use it as a spare phone and mainly as a music player to connect to my bluetooth speakers. When i charged it for a few hours it refused to come on. Then suddenly it seemed to come alive and decided to go into (what I think is) Fastboot USB mode See attached image). Now, not being an Android expert I have no idea how to get the phone to boot up like a normal phone. I did try scrolling up and down the Fastboot USB menu and clicking on the power button to activate the actions but it keeps booting back to this mode.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks.

If it's stuck in this mode (or hboot, the bootloader) then chances are that the OS is messed-up in some way.

You could try a factory reset, though I think that won't help (if you were getting stuck during the boot it might). Otherwise you need to reflash the phone. I'd suggest going to our Desire HD forum for advice on this.

Many thanks Hadron.

I did try the factory reset but didn't help.

I'll try posting in the Desire HD Forum.
