Help Help, droid razr crashed.. desperate to pull pics off it

Tbolt98

I'll try to keep this short,

my droid razr froze a couple days ago, and when it restarted it says..

"Encryption unsuccessfull
encryption was interupted and can't
complete. as a result, the data on your
phone is no longer accessable.

to resume using your phone, you need
to perform a factory reset. when you set
up your phone after the reset, you'll have
an opportunity to restore ant data that
was backed up to your google account"

there is a reset button but it does not react! i could care less about the phone but i have 15 months worth of pictures of my 22 month old child on it that i am desperate to recover! and, no... i did not have them backed up to a cloud service or anything and have learned my lesson. i had a memory card in the phone and was under the impression the pics were being saved to it and were not!

is there any way i can recover the photos from the phone even if i have to send it away and money isnt a problem?

Hi Tbolt98 ...

Welcome to Android Forums - Sorry to hear that you're having problems with your phone. Hopefully the kind folks over at your device's support forum might be able to assist you with your concerns.

I've moved your thread to its support forum.
Best of luck. ;)

I'm avoiding anything that they flat out tell me will erase all my pics if they are still on there... that is my only goal to recover the pics!

It might be a glitch in processing the SD card.

You said you could not boot into recovery. With the SD card removed can you boot into recovery?

If you can then you could clear the data cache partition that contains temporary data and not touch your pictures, apps, and other data. If that worked then maybe it will reboot right after that.

If it works without the SD card inserted you could then power off, insert the SD card, and power on again.

I have not Put the memory card back into it since this happened, there are other pics on it that I don't want to risk losing as well.

What do you guys think about the pictures, do you think they are still in there somewhere or lost? I have been looking into data recovery services and they are expensive but if I knew the pics were on there I would probably pay it!
