help facebook sync contacts on htc desire

sorry if im posting this in the wrong section.

i have just got my shiney new htc desire, i have turned of auto sync as like many i dont want all my facebook friends as my contacts.

i have manually added my contacts, my problem is when i sync/link to their facebook profile it automatically uses their mobile number from facebook and not the one i orginally typed.

anyone know how to stop this please.

I am having the same problem! Nightmare!

I want the friends feed to work, but dont want my address book cluttered with information from FaceBook!

Any answers out there please?!?!

Unset facebook contacts under people->menu->view.

To remove them completely, I just removed htc facebook addon and used the official facebook app.
