Help finding app to do with battery life

I was in telus today and the guy showed me an app he called it " Synching " but not sure its called that as i cant find it in the market place on my htc desire.

Anyway he was able to turn things off like synching, brightness etc etc.. to extend battery life

any ideas what its actual name is called?
