Hello all, I am new to this forum
Have been using nexus one for 2 years and just bought a galaxy tab 10.1
I have been using the nexus one to send/receive email on my company's server. The company does not allow sending out email via their SMTP to avoid spams, and asked us to use the ISP's SMTP instead. This works fine and I can send/receive emails via the phone 3G provider's SMTP
Tried putting the SIM card into the tablet, and using the same settings, I can send/receive emails from my company's account
Problem comes when I tried using the tablet to connect via wifi tethering from nexus one. I got the message that I cannot send email.... I suspect that with wifi tethering, the tablet is connecting to the net via wifi, but not directly via the 3G provider, so the SMTP settings do not work
Searched the net and someone suggested sending via gmail's SMTP settings... this works but the problem is the recipient will see my gmail address instead of my company's email address. And the email app from honeycomb does not have the option to set a reply-to address
I wonder if there is any other method to set up the tablet or the phone so I can send email from the tab via phone tethering
Thanks!!
