Help getting Moto G4Play to work on Qlink (Sprint) network

I am a Qlink customer which uses Sprint as a carrier. There is a bring your own phone program and the phones they list as compatible with their network are the exact same as Sprint's list for their BYOP program. I bought the Motorola G4 Play which was on the list to use with Qlink's BYOP program. It is brand new, unlocked, and came with no sim card. I entered the imei number into Qlink's and Sprint's site to check for compatibility, and both sites say that the device is incompatible. It is an CDMA phone so that's not a problem.

My question is if I order a sim card from sprint will my phone work at that point or is there I something I need to do to make it work. If the phone will not work and I need to return it I have to do it immediately to get my money back as I have to mail it in.

Qlink has no customer service that I can find and there is no option for further help from qlink. Sprint online just told me to go into a store but did not tell me if they could help or what they could do if I went and I do not live close to one.

Any help will be appreciated.

Your best bet would be to go in-store. As far as when I was with Sprint any phone that was Cdma and Gsm would not work at all. Now I don't know if that has changed ir not. And since the G4 Play is both gsm/cdma I don't think it will work.

Just to clarify, when you checked that phone's IMEI it was or was not compatible? If not, than no that phone won't work out for you.

Getting a SIM from Sprint might work out but looking at qlinkwireless's site you need to check it's compatible:

If it is, than you need to activate it to use with the Qlink:

Apparently the G4 Play comes in a 1GB of RAM/8GB of storage model and a 2GB of RAM/16GB of storage model. Just my opinion but the latter is a much better option for most people, the former is suitable for only minimal usage but will otherwise be a hassle to use as a day-to-day phone.
