Help! htc one x

[Android Question]

I smashed my phone and got a replacement (the same phone) but I'm trying to change the ringtone but every time I try to change it my phone turns off its self and its only just been delivered today and I don't know how to fix it because it keeps coming up that there's an 'error report' but I need help on how to stop this? any suggestions and my phone is a Htc one x thanks!

An unclean shutdown can generate an error report, so if this is after the crash I'd not worry about that.

However, it should not be crashing like that. Do a factory reset, install nothing, and just try to change the ringtone. If it still does it, send it back because they've given you a faulty replacement. If it works, reinstall your data and see whether it still works. Try not to restore system settings from a backup if this one has a different software version.
