Help, I can't install Swype

I just got my Droid an hour ago! Woot!!! That means I don't really know what I'm going. I installed Astro. I downloaded the Sype Beta to my PC and unzipped the files. I copied the unzipped folder to my SD card. Astro finds the folder, but I can't figure out how to install it?!? I see the Astro options at the top, but install is not one of them. I'm sure the answer is obvious, but I'm blinded by my new toy right now. Please help me! Thanks! :o

When you unzip the file make sure there is still an .APK file in there, that's what you need to install on your Droid. Hope you enjoy the Droid and welcome to the cult :)

Well, I re-downloaded the application to my PC, and now the .APK files is there. Weird. I'm good to go now. This phone is AMAZING. Puts my iphone to shame!!!

I have downloaded the file several times and when I unzip it there's no .apk extension anywhere on it. Why is that. Needless to say I have not been able to install swype.

The original zip you download should be called Swype-trial-release.zip
Unzip that file and you should be left with:
[mfhs]Swype-SwypeReference-WVGA854-trial-release.0.35.3959.apk
- do not unzip that file. Copy it whole onto your sd card. Then use astro to install. That worked fine for me.
