Help help! I lost my keypad- no letters just numbers

Hey Everyone,

I upgraded to 1.6 and rooted my phone.
All is working fine.
I added better keyboard and slide keyboard.

I just noticed that the default dialpad is missing the letters under the numbers that means if I have to spell a name using the dialpad I can't since I ONLY see numbers now.

Can someone shed some light on this?

The phone is an LG Eve (please do not move into the LG forum).
I think this is a generic type issue.

How Do I delete this thread?

I turned off the better keyboard and now the dialer keypad shows the letters.
Strange...
