help, I shattered my LG Motion :-( should I upgrade phones?

The phone was starting to run hot anyways but I dropped it and the screen shattered. Should I get another one or upgrade?
I don't want to spend a lot of money.
I'm tempted to just get a "dumbphone" but I really use the gps navigation a lot and it comes in handy.

What should I do?
I see they have a $100 Nokia Lumia 521, do you think this is an upgrade to the LG motion?, I really would like to stay around or under $100 if possible

First of all don't exagerate. A dumbphone? In 2013? Just get an LG Optimus F3 for $150 and you are good.

just curious. why is the nokia 521 crap? it's a serious question as I truly don't know much about windows phones.

Yes the $15 dollar fee is normal. You can buy the phone on amazon and activate it yourself to save the money. The windows phone battery is much weaker and there are far less apps on windows mobile.

I have one and if you're an advanced user, it's terrible. The only problem with the 521 itself is only 512MB ram, but WP8 is missing alot of features i used to take for granted on Android.

My point exactly. I didn't want to get into the whole windows vs android debate. At the end of the day it is a matter of preference. Both OS have their pros and cons but i always felt that windows phone is still lacking.

Windows phone feels like android in 2010 but a little smoother due to better hardware.
