Help Help. Lg F60 won't connect to network

Equeenbee

Lurker
I got my son the LG f60 for Xmas and it had been working fine until the last few days the phone won't connect to the metro pcs network. The lock screen says "searching" as if it's trying to find he network. When I check the settings it says network is unknown. I tried manually connecting to the lte network and got an error saying the SIM card won't support that connection. So, he can't text or make calls. Anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it? My husband and I have no trouble with our network connection.

The first thing I would try would be to turn off the phone, pull the SIM card out then put it back in. Then power the phone back on and see if the re-seat did the trick for ya. If not, is suggest take it to a store and see if they can help you.

Thanks, alfick3. That was the first thing I tried. It didn't do the trick. My son said the service came back on for a few minutes during the day yesterday but then the phone went back to searching again. Could it be a loose connection to the Sim card? It seems pretty snug in there.

Well then, I'd take it into a store. It's still under warranty so I'd let them figure it out.

Both you and your husband have Metro phones and have no problems connecting to the Metro network?

If you tried taking the sim card out already, I would call MetroPCS from another phone and have them send a refresh signal to the phone. If that still doesn't work I would suggest going to your MetroPCS store (2 hours after your refresh signal)

From all the phones I have ever connected that have done that which you describe a majority of them worked after the refresh.. but the ones that didn't.. Most of them were caused by a defective SIM...

Has this been resolved because i have a samsung s3 for metro and 3 days ago it started doing the same thing it says searching for service when i have the cdma on metro only i can only use internet i cannot call or text anyone and when i switch it to auto it says its roaming and im connected to travel talk and it allows me to call or text but no internet.
