I currently manage my photos in a stock app called Album, and I have my photos automatically backed up in Google drive. Before I can delete duplicates and bad photos, they all are uploaded to the drive. Later, I slim them down, deleting the bad photos, storing them like I want to view them, in Album. This means that in my Google drive has all my photos ever taken, disorganized. I want to free up space on my device but I want them stored in the organized fashion on my Google drive. ideally, I could delete my photos on the drive and just re upload them from my device. however, if you delete photos in Google photos, they are deleted on your device as well. what should I do to avoid needing to sort through thousands of photos on my Google drive again, deleting the bad ones individually?
