I'm reallllly stuck in between getting a droid or a nexus one.. ill tell you what I want from my phone

I like to take alot of pictures, I also listen to ALOT of music, I need something that will be able to schedule stuff with a nice scheduler, games aren't a must. I live in San Antonio so coverage isn't a problem.. I also would like to get rid of my ipod touch..Will either of these phones be a good replacement?

Yes, either of these phones will be a fine replacement for an iPod Touch. Both of them will do everything you listed perfectly fine.

Do you or don't you need a physical keyboard? That's about all there is to making the decision. Oh, that and the N1 gets OS updates straight from Google, whereas the Droid is usually left behind a few months.

Well, I wouldn't recommend the Droid for its camera. No idea what the N1's camera is like.

I wouldn't recommend the Droid's physical keyboard either unless you happen to go against the grain and actually like it or intend to play games (OP stated otherwise).

Coverage doesn't vary within your city? It certainly does here in Houston. Different carriers have different holes in coverage throughout the city.

Also I think the N1 has a faster processor, as well as an AMOLED (better color) screen if memory serves me correctly.

Keep in mind that IF you are going with the N1, it is soon going to be on the Sprint network, meaning that you will be able to use the same phone with a MUCH better priced data plan... assuming Sprint has good coverage in your area.

Oh, it does, but the Droid can be overclocked to about 800 MHz stably, perhaps even to 1 GHz, so if you're into taking risks that mightn't be as big an issue. The N1's screen is more vibrant and pleasing, but in direct sunlight you'll have to turn brightness all the way up to get any visibility.

It's pretty good for what it is. I wouldn't recommend it to a professional photographer or anything, but it works as a point-and-shoot substitute. Here is a picture I took with mine.

Yeah, the AMOLED screens must be set for auto-brightness adjustment. Does the N1 have a light sensor?

two questions
1) What is the current/default clock speed on the Droid?
2) Can the N1 be overclocked yet?

Certainly.

1) "Arm Cortex A8 600 MHz underclocked to 550 MHz" according to wiki.
2) Yes, to about 1.13 GHz. This suggests the Droid's processor is severely underclocked, whereas the N1 uses all of its Snapdragon power out of the box.

Unless you need the qwerty, Get the N1.

The qwerty on the droid is terrible anyway. The only thing worse then not having a qwerty, is having one that doesnt work =/

The only thing that hasn't worked really well in my area is sprint believe it or not. Anywhere else I get reception. Verizon and T-Mobile and ATT work pretty well in my area, well that is according to my friends.

I heard different things about the camera not working well on the droid, isn't the new update thats coming soon going to fix that?
